Russia’s VK founder Durov to give out $1 mln in grants for bots
MOSCOW, Apr 19 (PRIME) -- Pavel Durov, founder of messenger Telegram and Russian social network VKontakte, has announced a competition for bot developers with U.S. $1 million to be distributed in grants starting at $25,000 each, according to a statement in Telegram’s blog, seen by PRIME on Tuesday.
“All you need to do to be considered is create an impressive bot using our Bot API. What do we want in return? Nothing. That’s right, just support your creation and make your users happy,” Telegram said.
“We‘ll be giving out the prizes in several batches throughout 2016, so the final deadline is December, 31.”
In order to take part in the contest, programmers should create a bot in line with certain descriptions, fill in documents and send a link to the work to Telegram.
